Capacity Building as a Core Engine of Impact
Capacity building emerged in 2025 as one of the clearest indicators of Neighborhood Allies’ impact, strengthening the conditions that make economic mobility and wealth-building possible.
Neighborhood Allies delivered 2,828 hours of custom advisory services, more than three times the annual goal, with 1,339 hours of that specifically spent on real estate and neighborhood development support, reflecting strong and growing demand from partners working to move projects forward.
Capacity building is a primary way Neighborhood Allies delivers impact, ensuring that community partners have not just resources, but the ability to deploy them effectively and participate more fully in wealth-building opportunities.
This work is helping community-based developers and entrepreneurs access capital, advance projects, and build ownership in their neighborhoods, creating pathways to long-term asset-building and economic mobility. The projects highlighted throughout this report reflect a broader pattern across our work, where capacity building and strategic support translate into real ownership, revitalization, and wealth-building at the neighborhood level.
