We’d like to take this opportunity to thank PNC Foundation for supporting Neighborhood Allies’ Economic Opportunity for All work in 2019 with a $45,000 grant!
The PNC Founadtion recently made a $45,000 grant to support Neighborhood Allies’ Economic Opportunity program, which is focused on improving the lives of low-income residents, as well as our Asset Building Network, which helps struggling families in Pittsburgh by connecting them to the information, resources, tools and personalized assistance that will enable them to realize their dreams.
With this support, and through our Asset Building Network (ABN), we will provide opportunities to families to stabilize their finances and acquire the assets needed to become financially secure:
- Financial Opportunity Centers (FOCs) with our national partner, LISC, bundling three core services together – employment services, access to benefits and financial coaching – to improve the financial bottom line for low- to moderate-income individuals. Staff teams work with clients to boost earnings, reduce expenses and build credit.
- Financial Empowerment Centers (FECs) with the Mayor’s Office of the City of Pittsburgh, offering professional, one-on-one financial counseling at social service agencies to enable residents to address their financial challenges and needs and plan for their futures.
Our work would not be possible without the tremendous support of funders like the PNC Foundation. Thank you for your continued commitment and support of our mission to support the people, organizations and partnerships committed to creating and maintaining healthy neighborhoods!
